About me

How my journey as a “Writer” started

It started a couple of years earlier, when I wrote a note in my Facebook page for my mother. And lots of people who are there in my friend list liked that one. Then only I found a small writer in me. No do not think that I started writing by then. I Started writing long before that, but I did not have that courage to make it available to all. But sometimes appreciation helps you to bring that courage & confidence in a person. That’s what happened in my case. That note which I wrote to my mother is also there in my blog named “LOVE U MOM“.

Who Am I :

I am a 26 years+ old guy, having  dream in my eyes to make it big in life. I put ‘+’ in my age, because I know I am not going to update it next year. Yes you got it right, I am very lazy. The only question to which I am unable to get the answer till now is “What I want to be in life?” I do not want to be rich, I want to be famous.I do not want to be successful, I want to be happy. Most importantly I want to be a good human being. Which I am not completely, but I am confident that one day I will be.

I completed my engineering in computer Sc. ; still I love to deal with human beings more than computers, as computers have no emotions. I am a perfectionist when it comes to being imperfect. 🙂  For me happiness is more important than success. So terms like success, failure, competition have no meaning to me. I do not like to compete with others. I believe, I am too good to compete with myself, Then why to compete with someone else. My family & friends are my support systems.

What is This Blog All About:

As the name Being Arindam :Straight from my heart suggests, this blog is all about what my 26 years old heart says. This blog is a place where my heart does all the talking without caring about my mind. You may say that it is just a place where my heart is more powerful than my mind.

I am here to share my thoughts, my experience with you all. Some times i may touch your heart, sometimes I may bring a smile in your face , sometimes I may bring all those emotions out which you kept in your heart from a long time through my writings. And sometimes I may failed to do so. Still all your feedback, comments, like & dislike are welcome in my blog.  I will happily accept all your comments doesn’t matter positive or negative with open heart.

I have a simple philosophy in life-

“Be true to yourself and others. Do not try to appear better or greater than what you are.” – anonymous

  8. Arindam, I loved your post about confidence, and also the fact that you are a perfectionist about being imperfect. I think that so much of us flog ourselves with our limitations, instead of accepting them and glorying in all the things that we CAN do well. Looking forward to reading more of your posts.

    • Hey Joe,
I came to know know what happened to you and your family just now. And I do not what to say on how to react to this kind of a thing. But I am sad. But I hope you will try your best to bring everything and everyone who constitute your family, together once again. I do not know the reason behind all these things, but I am sure like a brave & honest man you will confess your every mistake , and if you have not made any mistake then, you will try to clear those misunderstandings. I do not want to say much about those things; as I have a little knowledge about these things. But I will want you to try and bring all those people near to you who matter to you a lot. And I know you will. All my best wishes to you Joe.

      Reply
      • Thank you Arindam. Of course we all make mistakes but I’d like to think the mistakes I have made do not constitute or justify my wife’s decision. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do at this point as I’ve tried reconciling with her. Now, I’ve got to move on and build a life of my own for me and my two children.

I’ll garner all the strength I can while me and my children transition through this unbearable time. My family and friends have been extremely supportive and that’s all I can ask for. I think I’ll find comfort in blogging as well, hence the reason I’ve started my new blog for a new beginning.

Thank you so much for being my first subscriber. You’ve always been tremendously supportive of My Haphazard Proclivities and I expect nothing less on Confessions of a Single Father.

Thank you for the kind and warm words Arindam.

If they where posting addresses from oder blogs that would be totally fine. No, random webaddresses. Do you know what I should to with that? Delete them or accept them? They do say nice things about my blog too.

  69. Dear Arindam, what touched me most about your blog is your daily interactions with the man on the street, the children that you meet – everyday folks who cross your path whom you stop to take time to notice, to be kind. And ultimately it all boils down to this doesn’t it – to see in each other a part of ourselves. To see the Divine in another soul. It’s been a great honour to meet a young man like yourself with a big dream to be the change you hope to see in the world. With warmest greetings from Finland, Sharon

    • Thanks a lot Sharon. Yours is one among those very few comments which I am going to remember for a long long time. I am glad you could notice in my writing, which I always wanted someone to. TO be honest, I do not try to write something extraordinary, because I know I can never. But I always write, with a message in the most simple way; just straight from my heart and honestly. Glad you could catch those points in my writing.

  71. Hi Arindam,
First of all thanks a lot for stopping by and dropping a comment on my blog. It means a lot! Just like you have mentioned, appreciation can really change things. Not sure if you really meant all of it, but I got the motivation that I was looking for. Thanks!! Just need some guidance to do better, hope I will soon find that.

You have a wonderful blog, but there is something even more more wonderful. And I think it is ability to make your readers connect with what you feel.
Congratulations once again on your first book. I am looking forward to reading it. Waiting to read more of your stuff.

    • Hi Ti,
Thanks a lot for these words. I hope I will live up to your expectation with my book.
And yes, we all need fair bit of appreciation in return to our hard work and effort. If you got motivated with it, then there is nothing wrong. It just show you are honest enough to accept that like every other creative person you too are hungry for appreciation. I am sure you will get lots of appreciation in future. Just keep on doing the good work. Everything else will fall in to proper places automatically. My best wishes for you.

  72. I have found that community is everything for writers. I never understood, till recently, just how supportive and kind other writers can be in helping and encouraging each other to stretch.

I am curious to understand what attracts you to fame? I don’t mean that as a negative question, it is simply that fame never attracted me so I’m curious about how it attracts others.

    Reply
    • Absolutely. Community is really important for all of us. To be honest, I have learnt a lot from these wonderful people. A community always grow, when the members starts helping, supporting and inspiring each other. It feels great to be part of such a wonderful community, where everyone cares for other.

Now to answer your question about fame; I will say I want to be famous, not only because I want to be recognized by others or to be appreciated by others for my work. But as I born and brought up in a country, where I have to live with , I have to compete with and also I have to adjust with 1.2 billion other people. So I hope Fame will make my voice Lauder, my presence will be brighter and my thoughts are going to reach others very clear. We all need money, and to be honest majority of the people now have it with them. But I want fame, because, I want to speak to others, by not standing in the crowd, but standing on the stage with the microphone in my hand, so that people will remain silent and listen to my voice when I will try to make them realize our duty as humans, or I will try to convince them, what we are doing is wrong or will ask them for support for a specific cause.

As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe very rightly quoted:
“If you modestly enjoy your fame you are not unworthy to rank with the holy.” 🙂
